Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automations and Control Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced automation systems across various industries. As a Senior Automations and Control Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in systems design, integration, and control theory to deliver innovative solutions that add significant value to our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to all stages of complex automation projects, from conceptualization to implementation and testing.
  • Design and develop dynamic models, simulations, and control systems for diverse applications including renewable energy generation, process control, marine applications, robotics, and servo-mechanisms.
  • Conduct advanced research, feasibility studies, and reliability assessments to explore new automation concepts and technologies.
  • Provide technical expertise in programming languages such as C, Matlab/SIMULINK, and LabVIEW, with a focus on certified LabVIEW development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, proposals, and quotations effectively.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives within the organization.
  • Represent the company at international conferences and exhibitions, showcasing thought leadership in the field of automation and control engineering.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in consultancy and academic research, with a strong track record of delivering successful automation projects.
  • Expertise in advanced programming languages including C, Matlab/SIMULINK, and LabVIEW, with certification as a LabVIEW Developer.
  • Proven experience in dynamic modeling, simulation, and control design for commercial automations and test-rigs.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition and SCADA systems using National Instruments software and hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research, feasibility studies, and reliability assessments for automation projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in teaching, presenting, and academic/technical writing.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in budget planning, proposal development, and grant applications.
