By leveraging a unique double parabolic mirror system, SPADER will concentrate solar rays into high-power beams to vaporize or de-orbit uncontrolled space objects. This innovative and sustainable approach offers a non-expendable, energy-efficient method of cleaning near-Earth space. Over the course of 36 months, the consortium\u2014comprising SMEs, research institutes, and aerospace experts from six EU countries\u2014will conduct advanced design and feasibility studies, culminating in the development and testing of a 1:10 ground model.
