SKYLD Security and Defence LTD, in collaboration with the Department of Engineering at the University of Nicosia and the Cyprus Maritime Academy, is pleased to announce the symposium \u201cAI-Enhanced Predictive Maintenance for Maritime Systems\u201d<\/strong>, taking place on Friday, 24 April 2026<\/strong>, at Loft Nicosia<\/strong>, from 10:00 to 13:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium will bring together industry leaders, researchers, classification society representatives, and technology innovators<\/strong> to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping maritime maintenance, improving reliability, and supporting greater operational efficiency across the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key part of the event will be the presentation of the main outcomes of the Maritime Health Usage and Monitoring System (MHUMS)<\/strong> project, funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF)<\/strong> under the CO-DEVELOP programme<\/strong>. The MHUMS project has developed advanced AI-driven diagnostic and prognostic tools<\/strong> that support predictive maintenance, condition-based decision-making, and lifecycle optimisation for maritime assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through expert presentations, technical sessions, and an industry panel discussion, the symposium aims to highlight practical pathways for the adoption of AI-enabled maintenance strategies in maritime operations, while also encouraging dialogue between research, technology, and industry stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
