{"id":655,"date":"2023-06-15T21:21:42","date_gmt":"2023-06-15T21:21:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/skyld.com.cy\/?p=655"},"modified":"2023-06-15T21:21:43","modified_gmt":"2023-06-15T21:21:43","slug":"sunrise-kick-off-meeting-october-2022-3-2-2-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skyld.com.cy\/?p=655","title":{"rendered":"What is COMMANDS about?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"904\" height=\"468\" src=\"https:\/\/skyld.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/asdgs.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-656\" srcset=\"https:\/\/skyld.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/asdgs.png 904w, https:\/\/skyld.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/asdgs-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/skyld.com.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/asdgs-768x398.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 904px) 100vw, 904px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The COMMANDS project aims to develop Through Life Capabilities (TLC) for agile, intelligent and cooperative manned and unmanned land systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These capabilities will be based on a set of state-of-the-art UGV technology solutions providing seamless functional services through integrated modular open architectures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A robust systems engineering process, supported by a technology demonstrator and a business case, will ensure rapid risk reduction (TRL6\/7) as well as rapid potential exploitation (TRL4\/5) of technologies that directly address a roadmap for the sustainable and autonomous development of EU defence \u201cThrough Life Capabilities\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main outcomes of the project are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Improve robustness against operational disruptions of last-kilometre re-supply convoys<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce the risks to personnel participating in last Kilometre re-supply convoys<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>How?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By providing EU ground forces with a system of systems capable of ensuring reliable and effective cooperation between different manned and unmanned assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results of the project will be used to upgrade current European ground vehicles for specific missions. It could also be integrated into future vehicles under development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COMMANDS brings together 21 European organisations (Mid- Caps, SMEs and RTOs) from 10 EU Member States and will be implemented over 3 years.
