The \u201cResearch and Innovation Symposium for European SECURITY and Defense 2023\u201d (RISE-SD 2023) is an international event stemming from previous initiatives, and aiming to bring together the European R&amp;D communities in Civil Protection &amp; Defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This symposium revolved around key topics crucial to our society\u2019s safety and resilience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Civil Protection and Disaster-Resilient Societies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critical Infrastructures Resilience and Smart Cities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better protect the EU and its citizens against Crime and Terrorism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protection of Public Spaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective Management of EU External Borders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancing the defense capabilities of the EU<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancing Cybersecurity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthened Security Research and Innovation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ait.ac.at\/\" target=\"_blank\">AIT Austrian Institute of Technology<\/a> was present at the RISE-SD 2023 conference and had the privilege to showcase the EURMARS Project\u2019s contribution in these domains, alongside with other esteemed experts and visionaries.
