MHUMS paper accepted for presentation at MARTECH 2026

We are pleased to announce that the paper “Integrating HUMS, Predictive Maintenance and Federated Learning for Advanced Ship Operation in Shipping 4.0” (Paper #167) has been accepted for presentation at the 8th International Conference on Maritime Technology and Engineering (MARTECH 2026), to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 26–29 May 2026.

The paper is co-authored by E. Yfantis, S. Neophytou, P. Savvidis, and R. Bratskas, and will be presented by Prof. Elias Ar. Yfantis, who plans to attend the conference. Conference proceedings will also be published.

The work introduces an integrated HUMS–Predictive Maintenance–Federated Learning framework to enable privacy-preserving, scalable fleet intelligence for Shipping 4.0. The approach combines continuous multi-sensor monitoring, Remaining Useful Life (RUL) estimation, and collaborative learning—without transferring raw vessel data.
