SKYLD LTD Showcases the SUNRISE Project at NRF 2024

Strengthening Critical Infrastructure Resilience at the Nicosia Risk Forum 2024From December 4th to 6th, 2024, the Nicosia Risk Forum 2024 (#NRF2024) brought together over 20 countries’ civil protection authorities, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners from the Mediterranean region to exchange ideas on addressing disaster resilience, safety, and climate challenges. Themed “Strengthening the Disaster Resilience of the Mediterranean Region: Safety, Security, and Climate Crisis Challenges”, the event provided a unique platform for collaboration and dialogue.

Organized under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, NRF 2024 highlighted the Mediterranean’s urgent need for coordinated responses to climate change and disaster risks.During the forum, SKYLD LTD presented the innovative SUNRISE project, funded by the EU Horizon Europe programme. SUNRISE project focuses on enhancing the resilience, reliability, and continuity of Europe’s critical infrastructures, including transport, energy, water, and healthcare systems. SUNRISE leverages advanced risk assessment tools and innovative technologies to prepare infrastructures for challenges such as pandemics, natural disasters, and cyber threats.The project aligns perfectly with the #NRF2024’s goals by addressing systemic vulnerabilities and proposing cutting-edge solutions to safeguard vital infrastructures.
